The first consultation will usually be preceded by a request for a brief medical history.
The patient will be asked detail questions about their medical history & lifestyle—both current and past, which will be followed by a thorough naturopathic examination which may include your spine, skin, lungs, heart, blood pressure, abdomen, posture, gait, tongue, eyes and more.
The final part of the consultation will consist of recommendations for the patient to carry out at home and a treatment plan, i.e. advice on diet, exercise, remedial exercise, posture, sleep, hydrotherapy etc. (It should be noted that the patient will not be asked to stop taking their medications but as recovery ensures the need for medication is often reduced).
Subsequent treatments usually involve assessment of progress, support, further advice, massage & gentle manipulation where necessary.
